I've never checked out the FLP's but fit and finish on the SLP is great plus they are made of stainless steal and I love em but I have seen TTS headers on Xsta Z 28's Berger and they looked really sweet too.

SLP's and no issues or probs here.. I got one of the first sets out and they still look like freakin new!! No rust or anything at all Cant beat the quality..

price vs performance they also are better..

if you have 1200 bucks to blow, get the FLP's

personally i think a header is a header..Whichever brand someone has, sure they are gonna back it. But i dont see where FLP's are any better than SLP's

I've just spent the last week or so reading anything and everything on headers I could find. There are pros and cons to all, and supporters and naysayers to all as well. And from what I've been reading they all give similar gains, with the possible exception of Grotyohanns (next to impossible to find!) which do seem to make a bit more power than the others. I need cats, so that narrowed down my choice. I don't think you'll go seriously wrong with any of the various LT's now available.

i have flps- all i suggest is getting them recoated before you put them on by a quality shop.

i installed a pair of grotts yesterday, my flps were tons easier imo. but they are all about the same. the slps do look nice.

SLP. Bought mine December 2000. No rust, no fit problems what so ever.

FLPs, especially if you plan on running the car lowered (at all).

I would say the Grotts, as these headers are proven to put more peak rwhp then any other header built!!!!!! (sorry not FLP nor SLP)---I would stay with the macs if I had a choice between those two....

I have installed 3 sets of SLPs and 1 set of FLPs, the FLPs were cake to install, however I prefer the Y-pipe of the SLP WAY over the FLP. On another downside SLP takes a while to ship while FLP is quicker, but FLP left two parts out in one of the kits... but they do have exceptional customer service and sent the missing clamps out via UPS air so since then I have a whole new respect for them. Either way I dont think you will go wrong, with the SLPs I seemed to get more midrange and power under the curve while the FLPs seemed to create a higher peak power... which is good for the high dyno numbers.
