I forgot to say that I heard many bad things about the QTP catted Y.
I heard that the cats go out preatty fast. I wouldnt want that as this car is my only car and I cant afford it to be down.
Any more suggestions ?

Just had the TSP catted Y (which flow real well) installed with Pacesetter Ceramic coated LT's. The car took on a different life and it sounds awesome at WOT. I believe the cats are Magnaflows which work well with my Headers and Magnaflow catback. If you got the bucks DO IT! Just got My ride back today at 6:00 P.M. and have found every excuse to stay in it and PLAY! Nothing but good reviews on the TSP catted Y all over the forum. Good quality, fit and finish. TSP Shipped my stuff and I got it in 2 days!

Lots of people seem to have trouble with those magnaflow/carsound cats, me included. I burnt out two sets in less than 2000 miles with a tuned car. It isn't that the honeycomb material burns away, since on mine they all stayed in one piece. But the problem seemed to be the glue that holds the honeycomb brick to the side of the converter case seems to burn away and then the whole brick rattles around inside the converter case. It sounds terrible. I took mine out for good and put in a borla xr1 muffler and it sounds just as nice as the cats but without having to worry about the cats getting damaged again.

The magnaflow cats are as good as any other, and you'll hear just as many stories of how good the QTP Ys are. If you are really concerned, give Barry a call and see if he'll work a deal on a different cat.

QTP uses the Carsound cat's.
I hope they are good.. I JUST GOT the damned y pipe in the mail with the cats.
I used to have random tech high flow cats.. I paid a TON for them but they did their job well.

The qtp ypipe is great. I just gave up on the cats. Barry even sent me out two extra ones free of charge after my first two crapped out. Those, however, crapped out the same way just as quickly. He did, however, have excellent customer service. I know of a couple other guys with the carsound cats in the qtp ypipe that had them rattling around as well. Maybe I was just unlucky as well as all of the others that I know of, but I yanked the cats and the borla xr1 makes the exhaust sound just as nice without any other worries. I would try and get the more expensive random tech cats if you want cats at all. Just my honest opinions.

Just go with the QTP offroad Y. I had it hooked up to my GMMG and it sounded great and I got many compliments. On another positive not, its a lot cheaper and you don't have to worry about them going out.

Or... if the cats start rattling, get a broom handle, take teh cat off and knock whatever is loose inside apart and let it fall out. and get a piece of pipe that's OD is the same as the ID of the cat openinga, and run it thru the middle of the cat. Works great for guys that have to have them for inspection.
But if there's no inspection, I'd skip them myself. CT's only doing an obd2 scan, but they still look under the car... especially one that is loud and shakes with cam lope.
