Default Slp Lt's

I have just bought a very cheap set of SLP LT stainless ceramic coated headers with SLP Y pipe and SLP high flow cats. £225 ($380)
they are in good condition apart from a few scraps where he had his car lowered and then he went back to standard ride height!

What am I going to need for my O2's front and rear (can I leave the rears disconected and throw a code or do I need extentions or can I just extend the wires myself or simulators)

I don't have any tuning software so tuning out the rears is not an option.

I am in the UK so tuning is tricky.

I was thinking of reusing the exhaust gaskets as I did this on the LT1 whan I installed headers on there.

Order a set of O2 sims for the rear and you will also need 02 extentions for the front. I would highly recomend new gaskets when you put on the your "new" headers. And take your time with the wiring on the passanger side wiring..it sits very close to the headers. Your going to need some orange heat wrap and plenty of zip ties.

Has anyone used extentions for the rear O2's before I lash out $90

or extended there own wires?

90 bucks for 02's sims.. I don't remember paying that much..or maybe I did. Are you going to running cats? You won't need extentions for the rear IIRC.

Yes I have the 3" SLP Y pipe and the SLP high flow cats aswell.

Presuming when I fit the headers and Y pipe there is room for the cats to go in and still connect to the original exhaust. You are supposed to run cats in the UK to pass immissions test at the yearly MOT test.

Stay away from that thing, it looks terrible.

He wrote something in his add, but actually it seems to be more of a deterrent:
"When comparing prices - Remember, you get what you pay for!"

I have some exts for my front O2's on the way with new gaskets.
I have some O2 sims on the way soon

My question is if I fit the headers and don't connect the rear O2's until my sims arrive (2 weeks to UK) will I just throw some codes?

Will the car run Ok?

Yes you will.. Car will be fine though. Rear 02's are only there to tell the car that the cats are working.

Thanks for that it's just that I have 4 days off this weekend for Easter and I was planning on doing the TC swap and the headers install if my o2 exts and gaskets arrive.

Cheers Andy
