Then can ANYONE show me at least one dyno sheet, with both graphs of a set of Stepped Dynatechs picking up power over a set of Grotts? Or anything similar in design? Keep in mind this has to be on a hydraulic 346 motor just like Vince's. No sollid rollers, etc...Apples to apples...

As for the 1 7/8, Patrick G picked up power on his car by going back down to 1 3/4, compared to 1 7/8.

Ok guys. You pay for the headers and I will try them out. I will pay for the one that works the best.. Deal?

no dyno sheets but on price diffrence alone. Grotts are awesome headers that personally i'd rather have, but bang for the buck on an apples to apples setup the dynatechs get my vote.

aside from that it's all in how the car is setup. some cars like smaller primary sets and some like bigger ones. and no 2 cars are the same.

Vince, (man it's wierd typing my own name)

i'll buy these headers for you. but next it's my turn to try superchargers.

I'll try to get the dyno graph scanned in the next day.

Thanks Jason.. I would think the difference in y-pipes would change the comparison. You went with a bigger y-pipe and collector with the Grotts and picked up 4rwhp and whatever under the curve. Jason do you think the pick up was actually from the grotts or from the all around increased flow?

Does anyone have any idea where I can get a set of the Grots? I've tried Thunder Racing (no luck)and QTP. I emailed Barry (QTP) who informed me that he hasn't had any response from the guy who makes the Grots in 2 months. According to him, he's been calling to place an order. I don't know where else to try. Anyone?

Well, as long as Hooker LT's having the same numbers as Macs, that's just wrong IMO.

The Hooker LT's will make as much power as the FLP's or Grots as far as I'm concerned. . .

My low end torque in my car got a nice increase when I installed them.

The thing is, FLPs have had a lot of hype and grots have been around a longn time & had lots of hype too.

Then 2 guys (for instance) get Hooker LT's, and they only make 345rwhp on their bolt-on car, so everybody's quick to say that they don't produce.

Anyways, do what you want.
IMO you can't go wrong with FLP's, Hooker LT's, or Grots.

Since you did say bang for the buck; I will vote for the 1 3/4" Dynatechs. They will perform the same as FLPs because they are the same header as the FLPs only without emissions hookups. Combine those with a decent collector-(Not the $100 each collector from Dynatech )and an X-pipe with a pair of Dynomax bullets and turn-downs. Complete system for the price of FLP headers and Y-pipe .
