black smoke and popping from the tailpipe?

black smoke and popping from the tailpipe? I hope you guys can help me but I get a black puff of smoke when I get on it specially when its cold,and it pops when I get off it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> or when I hold a gear and then let off.Any info is apppreciated.

Re: black smoke and popping from the tailpipe? Mine does the same thing, I think its just cause the engine is cold, because it stops when it warms up, It doesnt bother me to much, because it stops, maybe carbon being burnt off? i dunno.

Re: black smoke and popping from the tailpipe? Wicked, have you recently done headers and ORP? If so, without tuning you will run rich and that will happen. Mine does it right now really bad. I've just been too lazy to get some tuning done. At any rate, headers or not, it sounds like you are running rich. Get some tuning and some horsies to boot.
