Running rich and rotten egg smell???
Ever since I installed my new SLP LT headers, sometimes when I really get on it and drive it hard, you can smell a rotten egg smell, especally when I back it into the garage or come to a stop. I know that is a sign from the cats, but would running rich cause that?
When I Autotap'd my car I was about .920-.930 mv. I know I'm a little on the rich side, but would that cause my car to smell like rotten eggs sometimes?
It doesn't do it all the time, just once in a while when I do a bunch of WOT runs.
Any Idea's???

That's from running rich and you should probably get it adjusted, too much of that will burn out the cats.

Yeah, what DaddySS said. The rotten egss smell is from your cats. That is one way to tell if they are going bad or not, that is my experience any how?
I dont know why you would be running rich, but i think the rotten egg smell is coming from that last fart that got stuck in the seat. The smell probably activates when your adrenaline is rushing and your sweatin, then it heats up the seat, therefore releasing the smell upon the world.

BilliumSS, Mine did the same thing after I installed the SLP LT and cats(brand new), after WOT runs your cats heat up and what you are smelling is the sulfer dioxide being put off by the cats, this should go away after awhile as your cats are broken in. Mine went away after about 1500 to 2000 mi.

I'm not sure exactly how everything works, but if your cats were going bad, that would mess up the 02 readings right. Could that be causing the car to run rich. Like I said, I don't have much experience with this, so correct me if I'm wrong.
