If you haven't dropped your car, you should be a-ok on clearance with the Grotty's. I've yet to scrape mine, and I don't usually even take precautions when crossing speed bumps or uneven parking lot entrances, etc etc.

Check out the pics of the clearance:

Great headers! Go for it

And no, my car is not lowered, hance the plentiful clearance. I know a few guys with FLP's and drop springs, they rarely scrape, just have to learn how to drive over obstacles a little different

good luck!

No.

My only issue is the back of the driver's side catalytic converter hitting the floorboard sometimes.

With ProKit springs and 1-3/4" Grotts I have about 3-4" of ground clearance from the collectors. My lowest point is the driver's side cat which is around 3" or so and the Loudmouth resonator. I have my cats located in the Y just behind the collectors so clearance is tight on the driver's side.

Those numbers are decent estimates off the top of my head, but I'll take some more accurate measurements this evening and report back.

Edit: I should clarify that I do not have a Grott Y-pipe. LG custom built mine for me.

Roger has been having problems making them. So now someone else took over that job. His name is Barry, he is cool as hell, and to make it even better he is a forum supporter. Check about the middle of the list of vendors, he is QTP (Quicktimeperformance), anyway I am sold on a set of Grott/QTP headers. Also even better for me Barry lives 10 minutes from me so he knows about NJ emissions and what I will need to do to be safe. Shoot him an e-mail, he spent about 45 minutes talking to me about headers, now I understand how they work

Okay, took some measurements and the lowest point on the Grott collectors (bottom of ball-flange) is right at 3.5" from the ground with the ProKit springs. My driver's side cat (RT bullet) has 2.5" clearance. Now if I were using an ORP then the 3.5" would be my minimum.

HTH
