Default OK it's time for a new cat back........

I'm tired of having my B&B welded all the time and having it keep cracking! What is a good free flowing system that has the least amount of rasp? Any suggestions?

Don't know if it will look as good an a Z as on my WS6 but the Corsa sure sounds good.

Corsa is nice, but I like Borla. It has a little rasp when running with the plate wide open, but if you close it off, it sounds mean as hell.

Magna flo has a great sounding deep tone to it. Not as loud as say Borla or Loudmouth.

Just to really confuse you, I think the Hooker is the best sounding catback with headers & ORY...

good luck,

I have my b and b for probably 10 to 15 thousand miles..no problems with mine so far..where is it cracking..won't they do anything about it for you..???? I would think if its tig welded you would be good to go..I think I would go for corsa if I didn't have my b and b ..buddies magnaflow does sound good too and borlas sound great on lt1s but don't like their tips.

Being that it's aluminized steel, is it a little lighter in weight than stainless? Also , does it have a nice thump at idle?

It's aways cracking right at the pass. side of the muffler where the 3" pipe goes in. I've had it welded 3 times and it breaks again beside the weld because there's too much pressure from the weight on it at that spot.(B&B is one heavy *** cat back) This time they put a brace but between the cracking and the rasp (B&Bs are the worst for rasp), I'm looking to change.

If you don't have headers, I wouldn't suggest getting the Hooker. It looks and sounds nice though. It's very tame with through stock manifolds and cats even at WOT IMO. I have the Hooker catback and I wish I would've went another route. Hindsight is always 20/20 though.

The idle sounds nice - its a deep burble - yours would be even nicer with H&C. Also, if you race at the track much, it's 3 bolts to take off the muffler & tip assembly, for a nice weight savings & some improved flow...
good luck,
Shane
PS: FYI, I had a Hooker on my '99 for ~30K miles with no problems. I traded it in with that on there though, so I picked up a new Hooker for the '02.
