The same seals have been on the car for 3+ years and they look as good as the day the kit was put on.

We tested the pressure increase with a water column gauge.
wow man you posted this idea up months ago, and now the thread is aged away and everyone thinks you bombed out on the idea... i was searching the forums and found that thread and read the whole thing like 5 mins ago. funny thing was that i posted in it and didnt even remember. maybe you should go check it out...

You'll need a jig saw, a bench grinder and a lot of sand paper to contour it all to fit. Gorilla glue to bond the pieces together and spray paint to make it look more factory. The space between the hood and the airbox is around 1". I bought weatherstripping, but didn't need it as the largest gap is less than 1/16". A little harder closing the hood now, it's that tight, LOL.
this might sound stupid but do you remember what section of home depot you found the "composite material" in? i.e. lumber, hardware, etc...

i went to Lowes the other day to look for something like this but they apparently don't have anything like that...

I think a thin sheet of lexan plastic might work for thae ram air setup as well... I may still have some of that laying around, I might have to mock something up for the next trip I take
