Hows this exhaust idea sound?

Hows this exhaust idea sound? Hooker L/T mounted to a MUFFLEX 3in Y to a 4in MERGE,Then I use the HOOKER 4 to 3.5in reducer to my 3.5 cutout.
I will then mount a 5in long (3.5in pipe) to the back of the cutout and then a 3in bullet to the 5in long pipe,Go over the axle with 3in and split it like the Loudmouth with one 3in tail on each side.
I think it''ll be alittle heavier than my orig. single 3in but with the cutout it should flow very well and look alot better with a tail on each side.
I dont care for the single anymore.If I add 5 to 8 lbs who care.It looks better with 2 tail pipes.

Re: Hows this exhaust idea sound? I dont think duel cutouts are nessessary for a 346,I just cant see the logic.I've run 120 threw one cutout and my buddy has run 122 in my car threw one cutout.Just dont think will pick up anymore running 2 but I could be wrong

that's a cool setup, but it'll still be kinda loud even w/ the cut-out closed, and it'll flow well too.
For me, it's either a catback with high flow muffler (like yours or mine), or a cut-out + restrictive/quiet catback.
Therefore, it's possible to have a nice, relatively sane setup, then crank open the cut-out, and it sounds like the world is coming to an end.
BTW, w/ the 3" -> 4" y-pipe setup, one cut-out is PLENTY. . . I highly doubt anybody would see gains with dual cut-outs.

Re: Hows this exhaust idea sound? Hey Joel, how are the hookers sound compared to the macs + ory? I currently have macs + ory + ws6 exhaust and I hate the rasp sound. I am considering switching to the hookers if they have a better tone and can eliminate some of the rasp in the 1800-2200 range.

Re: Hows this exhaust idea sound? Brian,Dont waste your money.Just get a set of Carsound cats or Dynomax bullets and weld them into your ORY and your car will sound perfect with NO rasp..
