MAF HELP!!!
I think my next mod should be pulley (backordered) and MAF.
I am confused on what should I do with respect to MAF, I have 2002 WS6, M6 with lid/filter/exhaust cutout. See my sig for dyno.
Here is my confusion:
1) Should I buy the pace maf ? I heard its calliberated for LS1 or just have my stock ported with MAF ends? What are MAF ends?
2) Also, how can I check if I am currently running rich/lean with current setup?
3) Also, what is number range for rich to lean?
4) I heard I can gain hp by running little lean...how true is that
Thanks very much for your input,
Adnan K
Keep your stock MAF. Don't port it or get MAF ends unless you have a MAFT. First of all, MAF ends are plastic or aluminum pieces that go on either side of the MAF sensor. They are usually around $100 or so. A MAFT is a Mass Air Flow Translator. It's used to adjust your air/fuel ratio. Without one, you could run too lean and damage your motor.
Run a search. There is endless MAF info here.
autotap is only used for monitoring and reading
maft is used for changing a/f ratio
so, whats ls1 edit for....can it do the job of both maft and autotap?
Thanks,
Adnan K
Autotap is a diagnostic tool.
LS1edit let's you tune your pcm.

hahaa, with EDIT you can tune everything on your car, turn off SES codes, and heck about a billion more things.
ATAP: just reads how your car is running, you cant tune with it
personally i dont like ported ends anymore. There a PITA and can either help(when tuned) or just screw up your car
