Default How to tell if the O2's are bad????

Ever since I got my car back from its broken valvespring/bent valve problem, I noticed my AFR gauge ins't as lively...it will always stay down at the red when I cruise and when I sit at idle, then will pop up to green, but as soon as I mash the gash while crusing, I get the reading, it doesn't show the click over like it usually would...

Any thoughts?

How many miles, have you used much race gas and nitrous?

ATAP is the best way, but you already knew that

if you have a bad 02 you should get a SES. I did, and i think all others do when they have a bad one or 2.

I dont even read my A/F guage unless i have it WOT. at idle its usually in red, part thottle its all over the place.. WOT its green..

but those change everyday off and on

Well today at work one of the tech's noticed some wire hanging down from my car towards the oil pan...

We put it on the lift, the 02 wire was unplugged...

So I plugged it back in and the car went crazy, it was surging out every time I put it in gear....

It burned a 1/4 tank of gas in like 15 miles...its still running rich...

I picked my car up from Speed Inc. with it unplugged, I assume my dyno #'s were off of one 02 sensor..

Would that throw off HP that much?

easiest way to tell is to hook it up to ATAP and watch the o2 counts. they should fluctuate between .8-1 volt on the high end and .2-.5 volt on the low. its should be a continuous and dynamic change each cycle. if it only reads .5-.7 and doesnt get out of that range its time to replace your o2's. i just did yesterday
