What are the main down sides to Hooker LT's?
Chris
I have heard that the hookers arent going to make as much power as the flp's or grotyohann will, those are the 2 brands i would go if i were goign to get longtubes, but i like my macs, they make good power, and dont have any of the clearance issuse that longtubes have.

FLP's have 2.5 collectors and a 2.5 ypipe with a 3 in collector at the y. Hookers have a 3" collector, the ORP is 3", and the mufflex is a 3" pipe. I think you get about the same amount of power from ALL LT's roughly. I duno much about grotts tho.

If they want to pay extra for cats, great, but don't say they make more power unless it can be backed up with proof. I have never heard of anyone doing a back to back dyno comparision. Until I do, I will believe all the LT's make about the same power. I love my Hookers. I've had zero negitive issues with them. Easy (as far as LS1 f-bods go) to install.
i went from 12.79 @ 106mph on a 1.71 w/ stock manifolds, cats, loudmouth
to
12.32 @ 109.7mph on a 1.71 w/ hooker LT's, off road Y-pipe, and hooker catback
and that was in worse weather. so i'm not complaining at all
