The chambered catback system from GMMG is the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot of them!

If you're looking for loud, I have the SLP Loudmouth. Don't get me wrong, the CMMG is one bad azz sound. I really like it. But, the Loudmouth is quite a bit cheaper. At idle the Loudmouth is a low rumble, but at WOT it screams. I don't have a link I can post so you can hear it, maybe someone can help out there.

I just had my Loudmouth exhaust installed by DCV Tech last week and it is loud. There are a lot of f-body's around my area and I can honestly say that mine is one of the loudest that I have heard.

It has a nice low rumble at idle but at WOT it sounds like the world is going to end.

Here is a good link that has sound clips of many of the different types of exhausts. It is hard to tell how they sound for real when listening to the PC but you can at least get an idea.

As the others have already stated, the GMMG Chambered Exhaust sounds the best to me on an LS1 IMHO. I had Random Tech, Borla, & the SLP LM before the GMMG on my last Z and none of them compare to the GMMG. RT was way too quiet, Borla was ok, and I hated the SLP LM(awful tone/drone).

I heard the GMMG system on a new T/A recently.
I also heard the SLP loudmouth on a new T/A at the same time.
The GMMG sounded good, not to loud.
The LOUDMOUTH was nuts,a group of people gathered around the SLP and looked at it in awe.
I've just purchased the SLP Loudmouth, can't wait to wake the neighbors......<

I'm another proud owner of SLP's loudmouth exhaust. I had flows before and you can't compare the two. The Loudmouth is "loud" at WOT, and while cruising around town in 2nd gear, it's mean, it's better on the freeway.

I'll recommend SLP's exhaust over the GMMG because of it's price. I've heard the GMMG though, it sounds healthy, $$$.

At half price, it's worth it. Both exhaust are built with quality and craftsmenship.

I've SEEN dyno's that have proven the GMMG to flow just as well as the Borla, LM, or just about any other 3" aftermarket cat-back on an LS1. And even if the GMMG didn't really flow well, I'd still take it over that raspy-A$$ high-pitched Borla system. I've had both exhaust so you get the point...

Well I chime in hear as well...chock up another vote for the GMMG. My friend has the loudmouth and I have the GMMG and the GMMG is far superior. Yeah it is more money, but it is really worth it. The sound is unbelieveable. If you want loud - do what I'll be doing - SLP long tubes and the GMMG exhaust.

Also, the GMMG is the best fitting exhaust I have seen.

If you want to hear one in person, my car is always ready for a good rev down here in Georgia...haha.

I've had tons and tons of compliments on my Dynomouth, and it only cost me $125 for parts and labor!!! It's a very deep rumble, and it gets loud! It's a very nice loud, not raspy or obnoxious! I've had guys with Borla's and Loudmouth's say that they like mine better than their own! It also seems to pull a little better now, too. I have a dyno day next weekend, so I'll see how much it actaully helped.
As far as the fit, it looks stock. Basically because you use your stock 3" I-pipe, you just install the Dynomax bullet under the passenger seat (when it's back), then remove the stock muffler and fabricate a Y-pipe to take its place. The guy who did mine was awesome. The tips are perfectly centered in the cutouts of the rear facia. He actually got a level and tape measure out and made sure they were perfectly centered and even with each other. He also mandrel bent everything, and made it so I have equal output from both tips!! The sound I have is very comparable to the GMMG! I used to be "obsessed" with GMMG (even went to their facility in GA) and I am happy I didn't spend $700+ to get the sound that I have!
If you don't care about cost, then GMMG is the only way to go!!! They are totally awesome! I, myself, was on a budget, and went my route, and am completely happy I did!!!

I think it's all a personal preferrence. Some of us want loud and crazy and some want more of a sleeper.

I raced a WS6 that was quiet at idle, when he got on it,it exploded. My wife asked me what was the explosion from?I told her it was the other car grabbing gears like a madman. My convertible did well with the free ram air and K & N with the auto...he never gained on me,we were neck and neck.At the next stop light the passenger rolled his window down and gave me a nod of approval. We both had convertibles.

I've already purchased the SLP LM,for the money it's worth trying,I can always change it.I put a flowmaster on it after I bought it and I don't like it,to much noise in the car.

I have Mac headers and ORP with Borla and it is crazy loud. It also has bad rasp at 2200-2500 RPMs. This can and will be fixed by putting 2 bullets in the Y pipe. If you want an insane loud car this is an option. It's got a nice rumble at idle and screams at WOT. My $.02
