corsa vs. bassani Ok, I've read about the endless exhaust systems and everyones "IMHO". I would like to know if anyone has any info on flow comparisons between the Corsa and Bassani. I am looking for a quality, high flowing catback and thus far have narrowed it down to the aforementioned. i understand Bassani is quiter which i like, but does it flow (support as much power) as the Corsa? What is this GMMP or GMMT some guys talk about? tm.

Re: corsa vs. bassani thanks for the input FstBlkz28, i actually found the link for the Gmmg exhaust right after posting. no idea of the tone though. my goal is eventually mid to upper 4XXhp, yet quiet as possible, like a grand national, or at least a local one at the track, all tire spin no noise, very sleeper.
anyone running bassani? i have been told they are quiet?

I've got a corsa system waiting for installation. I got that because eventually I plan on getting headers and I don't want to be too loud. Supposedly the corsa system has an exotic car sound, I like that! Oh yeah 2 more reasons I got the corsa systm 1)No other tips are even close to being as nice looking and 2) GM approved. Though reason 2 isn't that important, its nice to know

Re: corsa vs. bassani I also have the GMMG exhaust. I've had it for a year now and love it. It is loud, but not horribly loud. Although, it might get kind of loud when I put on my long tubes in December. The Loudmouth is louder than the GMMG, but I really don't like the sound of the loud mouth. There are 2 trains of thought on the GMMG as far as flow - one it flows really well because it is just straight pipes (with 2 little chambered sections), however point two - one of the pipes goes across from left to right, then back across through the chambered section and out - I can see how that wouldn't really flow as well as some.
Honestly, there is no sweeter sound than a GMMG, but it is pretty loud, even though I am getting used to it. It doesn't drone or anything on the highway, which you can't say about a lot of the other exhausts.

One thing I do not want is drone like the LM. By the way, anyone want to put in their $.02 on either system hooked up with MAC headers and ORY? thanks again.

Re: corsa vs. bassani i have corsa, and i have slp lt's w/ cats...at idle/cruis, its louder than w/out headers, but still fairly quiet, and sounds awsome, but if you are worried about noise, corsa is LOUD at 4k rpm and up, and i mean LOUD...but i love the way it sounds...

I have heard alot of negative feedback on build quality as of late, but a far as my system is concerned (and I got one of the first) it is solid as a rock!
If you wanna check it out, I will be running the EFI Unlimited booth at Da Car Show this weekend in the exhibition hall of the Blaisdell. Re: corsa vs. bassani Don't forget about the B&B. Not much louder than stock, but deeper, more exocitc sounding and no droning at all.
If you go with headers and off road y, I think you will get droning with any of the catbacks, but that of course is a very subjective opinion. Supposedly cats cut down on the drone quite a bit.

Re: corsa vs. bassani I've heard the corsa system matched up with mac headers.....Sounds damn good to me, loud but not crazy loud.....I only heard it in idle though.
Why don't you just buy the corsa system, mac mid lengths and a Quick Time Electric Cutout (QTEC) then you could keep it closed most of the time and enjoy the sweet music from the corsa system, and when you need all hell to break loose, just flip the switch and open the cutout!!!

Re: corsa vs. bassani sorry never heard anyone mention sh*t about B&B or hell bassani for that fact. anyone got input for them. a little drone i can live with, hell i had a 79' Z-28, built 383, no interior at all, to include carpet, just a pair of seats and guages running headers with glasspacks back in the day-let me tell you a little about droning-LM couldnt even come close-yes they dumped before the axle.
Nice idea for the electric cutouts 2002 T/A, but the only time i need RFL is at the track, so I may opt to save the $$ and get manual but see no need for the LAZ-E-BOY method. good reminder, sounds like MAC's, ORY and Corsa (so far) w/ a lil cutout help. tm.
