Default Do I need a new tensioner?

I had a march pulley installed, and for 200 miles of idling and cruising (no WOT) the belt was fine, stayed on all the pulleys and everything. As soon as I take it out at WOT, the belt was half on/half off the tensioner and power steering pulley. Still fully on a/c, crank, and alternator pulleys though ...

So is it just the tensioner or what?

Awesome, can you still use the same belts or do you need new belts w/ the new pulley?

This was designed for that very problem, get one and be done with it.

Went and picked up that pulley for 17.31 at o'rielly ... installed it and so far the belts still on after 2 WOT runs. I'm gonna keep an eye on it, but it seems to have fixed it!

I have the same problem, I think. Today Ill be getting under the car to rule out an A/C belt/pulley problem. The reason why I think theres a tension pulley problem is this: When I removed the accessory belt, I turned and tightened the tensioner and idler pulleys. The idler seemed fine because it rolled smoothly. The tensioner pulley on the other hand didnt roll smoothly. It felt as through there were sand in there. I interpreted this as a bearing issue with the tensioner pulley since it didnt roll as nicely as the idler pulley. Id prefer to just replace the pulley than to disect the thing and repack the bearings.

FstBlkz28, is the part number you provided a replacement tensioner pulley?

Thanks in advance.
