I have the loudmouth on my 98 camaro ss and it sounds alright but it abit too raspy yet for my taste. Lots of people seem pleased with true duels and thats something I'll be upgrading to so for you 360 odd dollars I would say save a few move and go with doctor or mr gas can't remember which.

I think it sounds awesome! While everyone will have different opinions of how it sounds, there are a lot of people who like the Loudmouth. It has a nice rumble at idle and at WOT it sounds like the world is going to end.

I know this isn't the real thing but here is a link to my site with before and after sound clips of my exhaust.

http://www.transam02.com/mods/index.htm

Here is a link to DCV Tech who also has some sound clips on the front page. There is a clip both with and without headers.

Read the thread entitled "Loudmouth" that is of the last few days in this section. You'll get plenty of opinions.

I simply put it in another gear to lower the exhaust note to hear her.(I sometimes leave it in a high gear on purpose from time to time) Don't get me wrong though, I love the sound from it. It is "loud", considering the fact if you have a heavy right foot. It screams at the high end and rumbles at the low end. All in all it's worth it compared to the GMMG exhaust and a whole lot cheaper! My only concern is the resonance you get when you're in a M6 at 2k rpms. (It comes from the drone in the exhaust. I hope I explained that correctly!)

PS- If you have the money go w/ the GMMG exhaust. I'm being told that there's no drone or resonance in the car. Is this true? I wonder! I'll sell my loudmouth if it holds true.

I have a A4 and the loudmouth. I just love it!, I'd never go any different. I did hear a 2002 with the SLP headers and LM and it sounded badass (can't wait to get my headers ).

I just installed the loud mouth on my 'bird last weekend. I LOVE IT! But then again I'd drive a car with open headers if I could get away with it! The loud mouth really growls when the car fires up. I have an automatic in my 'bird, and it really screams around 70-75 miles an hour. If you "peddle" it a little, you can quiet it down. There is an occassional droning sound, but I kind of like it so it's no big deal to me. It is rather quiet between 50-60 mph, unless you stab the trottle. I drive my car daily on a 78 mile round-trip commute, and I can hardly wait to finally hit the interstate in route to work just so I can hear the roar. Basically, it can be as loud as you want it when you want it....just got to be sensible with the right foot when around law enforcement or in neighborhoods late at night.

loudmouths are great, they sound great, they are really lightweight, and one of the least expensive ones .

Loved mine before my header install. Sure sometimes you got some drone from it but never rasp. I have an A4 and it was great with manifolds and cats. Price was awesome and so was the sound. But now i have LTs and ORY and it is good at idle but everywhere else it sucks. Rasps like a honda. If you are not getting headers then go for it. You will enjoy it.

Ive had my Loudmouth for over a year now. It still brings a smile to my face when I start her up. The rasp isn't a big deal As long as you have a M6 you should be happy. The A4 guys pretty much hate the loudmouth. From inside the car you will be saying "WHAT" alot!

I have an A4 and as long as I am not on it very hard, I can talk to my wife and son without a problem inside the car. There is a rumble sound inside the car but I do not notice a rasp that others talk about.

With my Grotts, a G2 Y with RT bullets, and LM there is no appreciable difference in raspiness from LM and stock manifolds/Y. Its a bit "smoother" if anything. I've heard time and time again complaints of raspiness with ORY + Loudmouth. A couple of Dynomax bullet mufflers in the ORY usually cures that.

IMO, the LM is the best exhaust out there short of true duals. It is lightweight, stainless steel, high-flowing, and cheap. Its also versatile - if the sound is not exactly what you want you can replace the resonator with a bullet muffler, etc. You really can't go wrong with it. Also, I've heard several GMMG's and to me they sound like a LM (from outside the car at least), but they cost about twice as much.

Yea I have it with FLP's and ORP and I really like it. I think it does sound kind of raspy but if you like it loud like me this is the exhaust for you. Also I get asked a lot about what kind of exhaust i have. I get a lot of complants too so thats pretty cool.
