I'm talking big cube engines. FAST 90, LS7, Holley, Weiand choke a big engine still. The Harrop is the only one thats worth a damn. Whats the big deal in making a good flowing intake?

what kind of cubes are you pushing? There are plenty of people that will make a sheet metal intake if your engine needs it.

my sig.

The sheetmetal intakes have there problems though, with the low end torque and something to do with being bad for daily driving at slower speeds and lower rpm's.

Can a shop build one that flows a LOT more than the 90mm stuff yet still operate and work just like they do?

Yeah im sure designing a big cube intake is soooo easy, they are just being lazy. lol

Theres probably not nearly enough market for one to justify spending so much money in developement.

And it supports up to 96mm TB.

$3,000+, not just yet. I'd rather just spray a 50 dry shot to make up for the difference in power from the Harrop and LS7/90mm stuff.

victor jr. intake, Aaron's aluminum elbow, and a 90mm or accufab 105mm t-body. that should feed your 436. i do have a friend that is running a Futral built 434 and runs a fast 90/90 setup.

It's just wierd that the Harrop intake uses eight 58mm TB's, one for each cylinder. Thats equal to a 464mm TB, but feeds each cylinder equally and doesn't starve the rear cylinders like the FAST, Holley, Wieand, LS1/6/7 intakes do. Just seems someone would have designed something better.

Does this Victor Jr. set up with the 105mm Accufab TB and elbow still use fuel injection?

1. 8 58mm TBs does not equal a single 464 mm tb. If you look at an area basis, A 164mm TB would have the same area BUT you have significantly less boundary layer (air does not flow right against a wall) 8 85mm tbs has 1458 mm of wall (for any given cross section) where a 164mm TB only has 515 mm. Thus it shows that an "equivalent" TB is << 164 mm

2. Yes, the vic jr can be purchased set up for fuel injection. it comes drilled for individual port injectors. The elbow and TB act just like a OEM TB on the car now.

Do you think, or is there any proven tests that show the V Jr./elbow set-up will flow like (or outflow) a Harrop? Or do you think the Harrop is still better?

It seems the size of the elbows inlet is the limiting factor in airflow.

Idon't see prices on the sites for this V Jr/elbow set-up....do you know what the entire set-up costs off hand?

.

I never said outflow, didn't even compare them, but your approach in comparing them was wrong...thats all I was point out.

Intake + fuel rails are ~400.00
Elbow is 200-250

Oh, I know, I was just asking if you knew how they flowed compared to the Harrop.

Thats pretty cheap if it'll "at least" outflow the FAST 90 or LS7 intakes.
