Default Anyone had this happen to them????

Was driving the other day, got on it pretty hard through 2nd and 3rd. When i slowed down and stopped, my car was runnin really rough and had a low idle. It died on me a couple times. Got it home and tried to figure it out... with the engine running, i leaned in to get a look, i rested my hand on the egr tube where it goes into the intake, suddenly it idled smooth again. So i turned the car off and took the tube off, and the o-ring had almost completely come off the tube. I guess this caused a HUGE vacuum leak, possibly causing a lean miss. I smelled the exhaust while it was running and it smelled very rich. Well i reseated the o-ring and while i was there, grabbed a hacksaw and cut the tube off. Anyway, this seemed pretty weird to me.. has it happened to anyone else??

I have never had one come loose on me but I did forget to put that gasket back on when I cut my egr and it did the same thing you experienced.
