Default Pace MAF?

I just put long tubes on and noticed a lean conditon when inspecting my plugs and O2's. I decided to go ahead and take my home ported maf ends off to counteract the lean condition. I would like to know what the best Calibrated MAF is.....? LS6, Pace LS6 Modified or SLP 85mm?

Will someone please provide me with a link to the Pace maf so I can take a look at it? Thanks!

You say you're running lean, have you ever used a OBD II system tester to see what the engine is doing? It seems if you used a A-Tap or some OBD II tester it would be better then going buy what the plugs looked like.

I agree that basing a lean condition on the appearance of the plugs and O2's is a shot in the dark but I don't have access to ATAP, OBD II Scanner or any other tester.... The plugs were really red. I am probably wrong about the lean condition but I just went ahead and took off the maf ends to be safe. I figured it would be a better bet to go ahead and get a calibrated MAF instead of taking the chance with one that thinks it is flowing less air than it actually is..?

When I was tuning my LT1 I think Ed Wrong may have made me a little paranoid about running a ported MAF...

Do you use any octane booster in your car, I bet if you looked around you could find someone in your area who has a OBD II or A-Tap, just an idea.

Unless you're making more then 400rwhp on a dyno, stick with the stock MAF.

Enjoy your cars.

I don't use any octane boost, just 93 octane gas. My job doesn't alow me much spare time to trouble shoot. I guess I was just looking for some expertise here that would enable me to avoid having to hunt around for someone that has Auto Tap to do the trouble shooting for me. Thanks for your help anyway........
