Who has an engine tie down strap?
Thanks
If I can make it work then it may be something i can bring to the ls1 market for us guys with semi large to large cams
on top of that they are extra weight, look dumb, dont work to 'cure' the problem
i would look in to pulling one or both of the motor mounts and upgrading to polyurethane units.
if you have twist problems after that get an engine plate from madman.
They are a band aid. but they are the next best thing to guys who dont have the money or time to do what really needs to be done.
Well we have TQ straps that we use for grand nationals. they dont have the probs guys are having with the homemade ones.

Great idea! I was wondering when one of the Turbo Buick suppliers would possibly make one up that actually worked. I mentioned this whole torque strap deal about 3 years ago on LS1.Com, but no body seemed very interested back then.

I don't have any pics, but this is what I did. I bought a ratcheting tie down strap from Home Depot. I took one end and fed it through and around the lower alternator bolt. Then I hooked the other end into the hole on the passengers side of the K-member.

I run one simular to this...
