Default Coil debate

Hello folks. I am having a debate with a co-worker as to whether or not the square-ish Denso coils with the part number 12558948 are found on all LS1's or just earlier ones. I have a pic of an '04 GTO in front of me with the coils I've described. I also called a dealer and he said that these coils are used from '97-'04. My associate is still not satisfied so I thought I would ask the experts...LS1 owners.

Has anyone found any of the other coils (i.e. the truck ones that take a bracket or the long round c6 ones) on an LS1 stock?

Thanks

I dont know either except that some folks use the truck coils (the ones with the heatsink on the back) as they are 'stronger.' And according to an E-bay ad the round Delphi C6 coils can be bolted onto '99+ valve covers..
