i had the same problem when i was putting my long tubes on my 01 z. you need to drain the oil and get that diverter outta the way. i had to grind down some of the lip off of my subframe to get m in there but be careful if you do do that cuz if u break that weld, well thats a bad day for you

Do yourself a favor. Buy some mechanics gloves for $20.00. I didn't for 3 years working on the car, now I swear by them for working on the car, saves your hands. Takes a wee bit of time getting used to handling bolts, but worth it. And nothing wrong with kool aid!

ok guys, i removed the diviter and everything fit like a glove, everything was easy as hell after that.

i tightened up the headers, put on the new plugs and wires, y-pipe, magnaflow muffler, and the slp cat back and it was all a breeze, i didnt have to grind or notch anything, y-pipe doesnt bang, everything is perfect, so jet-hot is the way to go if you ask me.

oh ya, its not to loud while driving, and it sounds decent, you cant even hear it in 6th gear, but at WOT, its just crazy loud, it has a nice nasty scream to it, i finished everything up early in the afternoon and have been driving it all day, now its midnight and i have to wake up at 4 am for work, ill make a post tomorrow with some pics and all that good stuff.

if you want something that isnt to loud cruising and wake up the city at wot, a magnamouth is the way to go

That will make the driver side header go in real easy.
Recruit a friend or grow two more arms.

My headers went in without doing any of that crap.

I suggest trying it without moving anything, if it will go you saved a tone of work.
