Lifting for headers(simple question)
When you all do your own header installs at home, do you lift just the front of your car or do you get the whole thing off the ground??

Cool, thanks guys.
So the bottom of your front tires were 9" off the ground? I always hear that you wanna get them about a foot and a half off the ground. Wasn't it a pain being so close to the bottom of the car??

As high as possible.
I have some 3-ton jackstands I put under the rear of the car, and some 6-ton stands that go under the front. I usually max out my jack under the front, the get the stands as high as possible under either a) the unibody section below the floorboards, or b) under the a-arm pivot points by the k-member.
Get as much work done as you can under the hood before jacking the car up. It's a bitch to work under the hood of an f-body, but it really sucks when you have to stand on a chair and do it. What I mean is remove most of the manifold bolts, emissions tubes, sparkplugs (cept# 8), etc. before you jack up the acr.

I just installed some pacesetter headers. I did both front and back. Backs were on 6 inch blocks, fronts were about a foot and a half. Took me like 20+ hours to do. My first time installing. Getting at most of those bolts and screws were a pain in the ***.
