Re: LS6 intake? You need the coolant lines that run under the intake. They are not the same as ours. Also you have egr and the LS6 is not made for egr. This is my LS6 intake. In the pic you see a black tube going into the intake. We made the egr work with the LS6 intake. If I were to do it again I would just leave the egr off and get it deleted with LS1Edit. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: LS6 intake? The intake gaskets are really part of the intake and can be re-used. ..replacement gaskets are expensive and not needed...
The replacement is straight-forward. The long Bolts are a pain since the old unit must be pulled with the back four bolts in place ...same with the install...i used duct tape to hold them in place when removing and installing...
...you also should port your throttle-body and consider using a bigger MAF, cold air box and lid....These made a big power increase for me .. about 25HP or so...

Re: LS6 intake? I was thinking of purchasing a LS6 intake also. My car is a 98 so I have the egr. Would it be better to get the egr intake since I don't have LS1 edit? I would prefer taking the egr off completely but is it worth it to spend all that money on edit to do this job or can I find a shop or something to delete the code? Thanks.
