An aftermarket lid will give you a LITTLE bit of the sound you're looking for, but more importantly, it'll give you about 10 more hp.
As for sounding sick, most people choose to make their cars EXHALE louder than inhale, but to each his own.

gah the turbo noise is the ghey. I cringe every day on Speed when I see the comemrcial of the sts vette and that viper..
I assume the viper just doesnt wanna be at the light next to the queer
All performance issues aside, I havent heard a nice sounding turbo charged car yet. Wish they could have that throaty rumble sound.

You would have to make your own setup to make it really sound like it is sucking in a ton of air. They did a thing on the Horsepower tv where they made a custom twin cone filter intake on an elcamino or something like that that sound pretty sick. basically they used some custom piping and relocated the two cone filters down near the front air dam. Sounded sick, but I dont think it would really be worth your time or money to do the same.
