I noticed we were veering off as well (partially due to myself) and tried to get it back on track. Good change on the title as well.
And with a post like this, I have no idea what you have been doing for the last 800 posts...
My neighbor owns a dynapack system at his shop.. my car made 322.4rwhp with the paper air filter.. and 322.2rwhp with K&N granatelli air lid... back to back pulls.. I also did the NO air filter pull.. 324.6rwhp...
I still use the paper air filter to this day..

If that's the noise you're going for then I suggest adding one of those. And for the other guys saying a K&N doesn't pick up much. I've dynoed back to back with a paper filter and a Holley power shot (not a K&N but you get the point) along with descreening the MAF, I picked up 8 rwhp and 7 rwtq. I don't recommend messing with the MAF unless you can tune for the changes.
