dyno results suck
before headers, y and cam 313hp 332tq
after cam and headers 346hp 356tq
a friends 01 WS6 with same mods, cam, FLP's no cats and FTRA pulled 375hp what is the deal. to long tubes really make that much of a diff? also since I don't have the ls6 intake yet is that it. I know all cars are different but 30hp??? can long tubes and the intake get me the 30hp?
My guess is the car is running a little richer than it should, this happens fairly often with headers.
I would suggest tuning or least a MAFT and A-tap to tweak the car in a little better. MTI did my mail order tuning, this was way cheaper than Predator, LS1 Edit or Ed Wright. My car isn't finished and so I haven't dyno'd etc but usually MTI can get the mail order tune very close. If you can get a dyno tune with LS1 Edit that best of all.
The LS6 intake will help too. I would do all the mod's then get the tuning so you don't have to redo the tuning. Predator might be a good way to go if you want to tune and then add mod's then retune. I would at least get a MAFT and get a friend to help dial the car in with Atap.
Good Luck
Your O2's were right around 0.910-0.930, LTFT's were at zero during WOT (this is great!) and timing was at 25° which is reasonable for stock programming on a 2000. What I didn't notice at the time is that you had knock retard from the moment you nailed it at 2955 RPM up to the redline fuel shut-off. By the time the rev limiter kicked in you only had 1.3° of KR but still, this will cost you a few ponies.
Based on the KR (causing lower total timing), no LS6 intake, mid length headers vs. LT's and the fact that your motor has 30K+ miles versus Nate's 12K every car is different and 30 RWHP isn't that far out of reach recognizing these differences. He also de-screened his MAF.
Don't beat yourself up over this...it's possible that due to the size of the cam, it really needs more breathing potential and that's exactly what the LS6 intake and LT's provide not to mention your problem with less timing.
Get the LS6 intake, some good gas (Nate also cheated...he followed my instructions and went to Centex and filled up w/94 octane before his dyno run ) and re-dyno. I think you'll close the gap a lot.

What's Atap? ??
A-tap= a computer tool to read all the curent readings of your computer. like air fuel, o2's, idle settings etc's. it is a diagnostic tool. but you can't adjust anything with it. you need ls1 edit or the diablo to change anything.
John, thanks for running Atap on my car and for all of your help getting my car to where it is today
When I come back from my trip I'm installing a ASP pulley, Shanner TB, HPPIII to raise limiter then I should dyno 390+RWHP. Then shortly thereafter, it's time for MTI heads, rearend and gears
See you guys next year, take care

Some modifications due more harm than good in my opinion. You sometimes need the right combination of parts to see any gains.

This is true!!! My '02 WS6, with just a lid and muffler, dyno'd at 335rwhp/353rwtq... I figured I will research for the right combo's that people are getting positive results from, then work that way. I'd like to get around 375rwhp/400rwtq without breaking any seals (other than exhaust gaskets)
