Does anybody know if a certain lid flows better than another (such as SLP vs Whipser vs...) or are they all pretty much the same? Thanks in advance.

They are all the same. This topic has been debated to death. Everyone pretty much agrees that no particular lid outflows another. If you're looking to buy one, get the least expensive one you can find. I have an MTI lid (GP for $79 -- thx to Nineball <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> ). Check out the classified section of the board for a used one.

Yup.. everything he said. Performance wise.. they're all the same. Choose the one you like the best, for price, looks, etc.

Same power out of all of them....Better reliability on some. I would reccomend the SLP. It is on sale for $89 right now and I can tell you it is made out of a better grade of plastic (less brittle) than some of the competition. No bashing on MTI, but their lids have a reputation for not holding up (as do a lot of the others). I have only had my SLP for a couple of weeks so we will see how it stands the test of time.

I have the SLP lid, it seems to be just as well made as the factory lid. One of the best mods I have done.

just make sure it fits perfect

like, the slp, i have

it does not fit flush in the back, i am going to put some weather stripping to fix that, but it does has a good quality of plastic, i know becuase i painted it and it stuck real well, when you get your lid, take the lower airbox off, like the instructions say, "as one piece" and turn it around after its completed and you will see a little crack, i just went and bought some weather stripping at home depot for 5 bucks, 3/8"x7/16"

i am sure all lids fit the same way, i saw a friends Whishper lid and it did the same thing in the back,,, this creates leakage and not perfectly sealed; lost of power

On my completely stock car (at the time) I felt a pretty big difference in throttle response after the lid, it was a great mod.

BTW Archdog, I sent you a PM
