Default Meziere Water Pump announcment >>>>

I talked to Meziere again and they are planning to release a newer design LS1/LS6 electric water pump in spring 2003 that will be a true bolt-on part, meaning it will include some sort of thermostate, heater hose inlet/outlets, and some sort of tensioner assembly or a way to reuse the factory tensioner. Based on what I heard the retail price would be around $450 and the part would be anodized.

As we all know Meziere has been selling a race version of the water pump that requires of lot of additional work to make it work in a street car application.

Do me a favor, and post up if you think a true bolt-on water pump is on your 2003 list of must-do mods. I will forward this thread to them at the end of this week!!!

Definately couldn't hurt. I'd buy one.

...maybe...

I think the race version would suit my needs better. A true bolt-on solution would be nice, though.

I agree with George. I think if they offer a TRUE bolt-on pump, they will sell a ton of them. And I'd be one of the buyers!

A little pricey, but if my stocker ever went out I'd consider it.

If it was truly a bolt in with heat/ac functionality and it didn't blow up every 5k miles I'd buy it.

as long as its the same as stock besides the added power id buy one. The big issue for me is the durability, I cant afford to make a decision to go to galveston at 10p.m. and have cooling problems on the way. The main thing that most people are gona look at is how long it last.

I have been very pleased with my Meziere's performance over the last 2 years on my LT1, I would be very interested in a bolt on LS1 electric pump for the SS.

Great replies folks.

I am wanting one if...

-true bolt-on, no custom rigging up of the t-stat or the heater hoses.
-reliable piece, I would want it to work for a fairly long time.
-if Meziere ends up needing to custom make their own tensioner pulleys, I would also ask that they look at potentially making the sides higher so the belt would have less ability to travel off at wide open throttle.
