Default Hooker

I did a search for the hooker catback but I never really found what I was looking for. I want to know how loud hooker is when crusing? Is it louder than flowmaster than crusing around town? Do these systems sounds anything alike? And also is it loud enough that when you riding trough town can people notice you have aftermarket exhuast?

Is it louder than flowmaster than crusing around town?
a little louder than the 80 series when your on the gas. (i had the 80 series and took it off and got the hooker cat-back. out of the hooker with cats and flowmaster with cats the flowmaster was quieter when i was on the gas than hooker but had more drone when i wasn't on the gas than hooker)

[/QB]Do these systems sounds anything alike? And also is it loud enough that when you riding trough town can people notice you have aftermarket exhuast?[/QB]
the hooker is about the same sound wise but is deeper and slightly quieter at idle than flwomaster but is louder at WOT and whenever your on the gas. if you remove your cats you can definatly tell that the system is aftermarket. with cats you can tell whenever your on the gas.
but with the hooker cat-back the idle is very quiet regardless. but give it gas and you know that somethin else is there especially without cats.

i like the hooker cat-back better. flows better, sounds better, and imo is better.

Tried a link and it didn't work. It's called Diamond Clear Satin Aerosol, Item # 10300Z. Go to Eastwood and type the item # in the search box at the top left of the page. It will take you right to it. It says it can be used on aluminum intakes, valve covers, alternators, etc. and it's rated for 300*F. I thought it was higher.

I am getting the hooker from one of the sponcers for like $280. How would you compare the hooker you have when it had cats and stock manifolds to flowmaster? I wouldnt mind having something a litttle louder but with the same tone. Just have got to make sure there is no rasp and everyone heres the deep tone of my exhuast and knows it isnt stock.

I had a flowmaster muffler on my t/a and it droned a lot on the highway. Now I have the hooker on the formula, and it is a little quieter at idle, and cruising around town, but when you get on it, it's loud enough and sounds great.
