Need all info on Hooker LT's !!! I need to know all the probleams that LT's bring. like i here they make you run rich and etc. I have a 98 z-28 6-speed , pretty stock, little bolt-ons. thanks for all the info guys.
Re: Need all info on Hooker LT's !!! in most cases yes they cause the car to run rich. since you've got a 98, all the AIR and EGR stuff will bolt up directly without having to buy new parts or bending your stock ones. You'll want to re-use your stock bolts and gaskets(or buy new stock ones) the bolts/gaskets that come with the headers are pretty sh*tty. Your also gonna have to get a Y pipe, ur options are the Hooker off road pipe(no cats, will need o2 simms) which runs about ~170, Mufflex Y runs ~280(can be Off road or cats can be welded into it), or you could have a muffler shop build you a custom one for cats or without.
You'll also have to do the AIR restrictor mod so taht your air check valves will not burn out.
I'm sure i left some things out, so somone else can fill in other parts.

Re: Need all info on Hooker LT's !!! Re: Need all info on Hooker LT's !!! After a buddy and I installed our Hooker LTs, our cars were running lean. We had to use 5% rich on the base of the MAFT to straighten it out. We also saw improvements in ET and MPH at the track, from richening the WOT by 2%.

What other info do you guys need? I didn't do the air mod thing, haven't had a problem in ~25K miles.
Oh, just thought of some stuff. My buddy has been having alot of problems (SES lights) due to "Insufficient heating O2" on both sides. I haven't had a problem at all. We are still trying to figure what is going on with his. We think bad O2s, especially when compared with mine. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Re: Need all info on Hooker LT's !!! its not hard to do, i put a link up at the top of the post about it. I'd go ahead and do it when your puttin the air tubes back on the haeders so that you dont have to un hook them to put the restrictors in.
