Wink QTP headers owners step in please help .........

Ive had my 1 3/4 heards in for a few months and i check them everyone in awhile to see how there doing and i got in today and ont he drivers side the #1 tube is rubbing and grinding on the stearing arm. So i took the y-pipe off to see if that would lessen the load of the headers and it didnt do a dam thing. I was wondering how much room to have between the #1 tube and the stearing arm and i was thinking of adjusting the stearing arm outward to gain that extra room? Im really racking my head on this one. I called QTP and they said to losen them and pick up the header and move it up since there some "play" in the bolt holes but there isnt any "play" in them so if some one could help me out on my delema please respond.............

According to QTP the headers and the steering column should both be adjustable.

I've got at least two fingers worth of clearance. No problems here.

If you want to fix it .Take off the drivers side header, heat up the spot until it's red hot with a tourch and ding it with a hammer or mallot.

Yeah the steering wheel is vibrating because the header is against the steering column. The shop guys had to massage to header in order to get it to fit without the clearance issues. Oh and my steering wheel stopped vibrating too. I posted a thread about this before.

That's because those were made when they were in their old location.

I have the new style and no issues. And you can adjust the steering column if need be, no reason to massage anything.

I've got a newer set of 1 3/4 and they seem to fit fine by the steering stem.
