So my car is still running like crap but...
... now it runs fine under 30 mph. I'm still waiting to get it looked at, but I drove it around town today and it goes down the road better than it did, but it still starts to run like poo as soon as I step on the gas. Could it be an O2 sensor? I don't understand why it doesn't run like **** all the time?

Sorry, I posted a couple of days ago about my car running like crap after installing LT's and an ORY. I spent all day in the sun and am a little out of it. I put on Pacesetters, am running EGR but no AIR and it didn't throw a code until I put about 40 miles on it. I know this is fairly common. The plug wires are on good and the plugs themselves weren't an issue during the install. It starts and idles fine, but bogs and hesitates under load. I'm wondering if it could be a bad O2 sensor or does it just need to be tuned?

We didn't remove the plugs, we were very careful around them. I do have the sims on the back. If it is a plug issue or bad O2 why wouldn't it run bad all the time? Hopefully I have time to run to my dealer to check the code tomorrow.

well i just recently had a SES light and delt with the 02s, the code said bank 1 and bank 2 were out and not working. so i replaced the sensors and still runs weird and doesnt want to idle right. so i call my tuner and he says check the fuses under the hood and sure enought the engine sensor (oxygen sensor) fuse was completely blown, replaced it and no more problems. check the fuses would be the first thing to do then change the plugs.

It's your plugs or wires.
With a bad o2, the pcm would just run in Open Loop mode, basically the same as it would run after first being started until warming up. Your mileage would suck, but it wouldn't really be running like "crap".

it doesnt hurt to change your plugs, plus its easy once you have headers on, i put new plugs on after installing my headers (didnt do before installing because i didnt want to break them) and it took a little over 20 minutes.
get your car scanned so you know if there is more than one reason for the ses light

So I went to the dealership and there was an O2 code and one for the AIR. They said something about one bank appeared to be running a little lean, but they didn't have any answers. The guy I needed to talk to wasn't in today either. Go figure!

I pulled my K&N out to clean and man was it dirty. I had to go buy a recharge kit for it and for ***** and giggles I picked up a paper filter to try. The car seemed to run better-I actually got on it a bit but after a half mile it went back to running like crap. It was worth a shot I suppose.

This should be the last post in this thread, stupid f'ing loose plug wire! Car runs pretty good now. Too bad its been raining for days now, can't really test it out. But I'm getting an HP Tuners tune for it in the process.
