Pacesetter Guys: DONT Use Those Gaskets! For those of you who are about to install a set of Pacesetter Headers, take this advice: DON'T USE THE PAPER GASKETS THAT COME WITH THOSE HEADERS! Either re-use your stock gaskets, or buy new GM units.
Like an idiot, I installed those Pacesetter gaskets. Last night, one let go at the top of third gear, right next to a pullied 04 Cobra. Needless to say, I kicked myself in the ***.
I hope we can all learn from my stupid mistake! You don't have to learn the hard way. Use the stock gaskets at first, and you'll never have this problem.

I now have two pretty new GM gaskets hanging on the way, getting installed the same time as the Moser 9".

I just got a set of paceseters and mine came with copper gaskets! I thought they were going to come with the paper ones so I bought Percy's carbon gaskets and used them instead. I was surprised that mine came with the copper ones. I wonder if pacesetter listened to all the complaints about their gaskets and changed them?
