Default Stealth Lid--Horrible MAF placement??

I purchased a blemished stealth lid from fast toys a month back and have nothing but problems with it.

The neck of the lid leading to the entrace of the MAF places the bottom of the maf a good 1/2 inch beneath the OVAL (READ NOT CIRCULAR) exit of the lid. Then the MAF sits a good 1/4+ inch ABOVE the Throttle Body at about a 30-35 degree angle to it. The top of the MAF actually is past the Throttle body! The bottom of the MAF is atmost 3/4 of an inch from the throttle body.

Are others like this also? Did I get screwed on this blemished lid that I thought was only asthetically ugly, but perhaps has fitment issues too?

I had a few fitment issues but nothing that bad. Must be because it was blemished. Maybe the first one or something.

mine fits fine and the maf is in the center of the lid and on the throttle body side its even with the top of the maf. not quite sure why yours is like this. try loosening up the clamps and moving your maf around to line it up better.

That coloration defect you guys are speaking about is why mine is a "blemished" lid. It seems your's are too. The thing is I paid considerably less for mine because of that reason, did you two guys?

Promod1955,I did reposition the MAF. I wasted a good hour trying to make this thing fit as best possible, which coinsidently was unacceptable.

I think the lid is good. The fitment issues are minimal, and I would be willing to bet that I picked up a couple extra rear wheel over a regular lid by buying the stealth. I trapped 107 with the lid being my only mod, so im kinda partial to it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

If you ask me. That lid is one of the biggest ripoffs for LS1 cars.
For $300, you could have 18-20RWHP easy.
Lid, Ported TB, Cutout. OR: Lid, Pullies.
