I like my LS1 Motorsports Lid its a good price and very durable. I tried the Fernco Mod w/ this lid and it just seemed to tight and would break over time.

I second the LS1 Motorsports Direct-Flo. Logo is removeable for a more factory look if you care, and plastic is decent quality. I still can't beleive they get a hundred bucks for a peice of plastic. Amazing.

SLP?
MTI?
Whisper?
Grantelli?

Any body else???

Also, does anyone else make the bellows piece, or just SLP?

Thanks

All lids are basically the same. Go with the least expensive or the most attractive. It's your choice. Baker precision makes a bellows:

Call and ask for the "Camaro Hose". I use a 3x3" trimmed Fernco hose ($5) as my bellows. It works great. Some people have had problems with it breaking tabs off their lid though.

I have the cool clear lid from MTI and it sure looks cool..i like it because its a little bit sturdier since its clear plastic....and you can always see if anything is going past your filter into the maf and tb...that is...without having to remove the lid....

Do any flow better than the another? I know the SLP and LS1 Motorsports lids are within $5 of each other, looks like the LS1 might be better, is this true?

Thanks

I had an ls1motorsports black lid. Worked/fit great but was just too bland...so i switched over to an MTI clear lid. The fitment is very crappy, but it looks better. I am thinking about changing it again though, maybe go with a FIPK.

i ordered the mti clear lid because when i bought my car they put on a set-up were it came from the hood straight into the filter w/out a lid,and when it rains and i get on it, it bogs down and my SES light comes on!!! i dont know what they were thinking. On all the other camaro's the TB is above the filter where my filter sits above it and relies on air just from the hood!!! crazy!

All lids are basicly the same. I went with SLP for two reasons. The first being the price. I believe it's the cheapest. And second the car was already came with many options from SLP......

Their melted plastic wields looked like crap.Buddy at speed shop called them and got it replaced.Does seal but the quality is still JUNK!!!!!**** POOR WORKMANSHIP.Their one thing for sure we'll never buy any of their other products and our friends that seen it won't eather.

SlP did nothing to "put us ahead of the stangs". However, they make a nice appearance package. Thanks should go to the General.
