Default nose foam

i was just curious as to what if anything would happen if i removed the foam that fills those to holes in the nose, i know its thier as like a safety thing and for support but it just seems those holes could serve very practical purposes!!!thnx

For cosmetic reasons you could cut out the foam for each nostral. However you don't want to remove all the foam from the bumper because it is the bumpers main strenght aid it's also deformable to pass the 5mph impact regualtions.

However removing the foam will offer no practical purpose. These cars have an air dam under the car which forces air up to the radiator and airbox.

If you make a CAI kit to take a feed from the front of the bumper then yes it will certainly help or if you have a large front mount intercooler for a FI setup.

You will however risk much more in case of an accident. Youd be surprised how much energy foam absorbs.

I don't have mine in, nor is the steel bumper support in there either. I took mine out to make way for a better tranny cooler mounting spot

I've yet to run into any problems yet. I do however, always park backwards now, that way I don't accidently hit anything when parking. I just hope I don't smack anyone in a head on collision
