Default PCV System Question

Okay guys...well I checked the car last night and found out that my PCV line is broken. The line that is broken is the one behind the block; it broke where the driver side valve cover and the passenger side meet...you know the little Y that it has. I was thinking about replacing all the hoses and just eliminating the PCV Valve. So would it hurt to run the PCV system without a PCV Valve with a catch can?

Yeah, keep the valve. Just rig up some attachment of some sort.

Well I ordered a breather last night but that will probably take about a week to get here. So I wanted to do something to fix the problem temporally, I don’t really want to drive the car like that.

My hose back there screwed up too. I took a piece of hose that I stole from the old AIR system and, bored it out a bit, and it slipped over that Y junction.

Okay guys the breather came in.
So what all do I remove from the PCV System?
Do you think the Moroso breather will work fine?
Or do you guys think that I should just keep the PCV System w/ Catch can?

what i did to delete the system was, ran a 3/8 inch hose from valve cover on the passenger side to the valve cover on the drivers side, then blocked off the intake nipple with a rubber cap. And then put the breather on and works great, no problems.

I took some short piece of 3/8" hose, dabbed some RTV on some small bolts, shoved the bolts in the hose and hose-clamped 'em in place. Then I slipped them over the rear PCV ports, put a small red rubber cap on the manifold, and stuck the breather on.

I also left my fresh air tube (tb to valve cover), but put my PCV valve in the line in such a way that it prevented crankcase gasses from going into the manifold (like a check valve).

If the check valve idea doesn't make a difference, oh well, it was free.

What about the hose that goes from the valve cover to the throttle body?

Thanks for the help.
