Removing AIR with no codes?
Removing AIR with no codes? With all the talk of removing the AIR tubes and pump, I was wondering if I could do it without throwing a code?
I got rid of my cats when I got the LT's and have the simulators in their place. Will I still throw a code if I take out all the AIR stuff and use block off plates for just the AIR tubes?

Re: Removing AIR with no codes? it will throw a code which i believe to be P0140. will usually occur about 100-300 miles after disconnecting the pump from its wiring harness. again as said you can utilize LS1EDIT to delete the code but it will receive a flag from the OBDII emission testing simulation as not being ready.

We don't have any emissions testing here in TN so it's of no concern to me <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I would however like to get rid or the AIR and EGR possibly without getting LS1Edit, or getting them programed out of the computer. If it's possible to trick the computer like using O2 sims on the rear O2 sensors, I'd like to explore that possibility.

p.s. i threw the code again this morning. and the three times i have thrown the code was while the car was moving.
