Default Broke oil pressure sending unit

Ok I know everyones going to say i should have searched first and i did but during my LS6 intake mani install i still managed to break it Now the problem is I cant get the part till tuesday and im assuming that if i run it with nothing in there its gonna blow oil everywhere? Is this right or is there someway i can drive the car without it?

No you can't drive without it.

Yes, if you put a bolt in to block the hole and stop the oil blowing out.

how do you replace this? i broke the top off of mine, and i need to know how to get the bottom piece off

you need an oil pressure sending unit socket...you can pick them up a local auto parts store for cheap...$9.99ish autozone...pepboys...advance auto...murrays...

u realize this is the guage and the part that puts the oil down through the heads...soo i dont see how ud be able to drive without it

You realize he's not the one who dug this thread up? Maby he didn't notice the date.
