What to do with PCV system?
I tried everything to get rid of oil consumption. (catch can, 01-02 style valley/pcv , the new truck pcv valve) I still find oil behind my tb and have to add a quart every 1500 miles. My suggestion would be to learn to live with it. I have.
If a 2001 is similar to a 99 PVC set up, then a larger diameter drain hole inside the passenger side valve cover in conjunction with a vertically mounted PCV valve & a just in case fuel filter, will eliminate oil consumption. Let me know if this is of interest & I will explain further. AM not sure how a 2001 PCV system i routed. If it's the same, this will work.

) if you have 98 heads. for 99 and up heads you can just use a passenger valve cover on the driverside.i thought it was retarded to spend $100 on two breathers so i bought clamp on breathers fron jegs for $12 a peice and welded a 1 3/8" tube on each valve cover.

Think about the internals of the engine. The holes where the pushrods go through to touch the cam is a common area. Any pressure on the other side (drivers) migrates to the lower pressure side where it naturally goes to the breather.

This is true, however when gasses are being pushed out, air must also be sucked in.
