Trevor, where have you guys put the IAT sensor? Stock location?? I can't see the provision (hole) for it in the pictures.

When you get some conclusive results I'll call you for a graphite one

Thanks for the reply Trevor.

Any fitment issues with the WS6 hood? Is it at all possible to make one with a 85 mm opening for all of us LS6 MAF users out there?

CAT3 - We usually have lids in stock since they are big sellers, and we should have the clear, clear smoked, and carbon fiber on the shelf by the time you're ready to order. I'll have pics of them up shortly.

George - I sent ya mail back. Give me a call!

phatkat - I would expect at least a month before the chrome versions are available. The chrome will also have an introductory price of $129.99.

Hardtop - We hope to dyno test our lid against a Direct Flo lid as well.

riddler - LOL! Are you referring to the Super Sucker? We have yet to do any testing on a Super Sucker induction system. It does have a significantly larger filter since it does replace the lower radiator support. Ours will use the stock lower air box/radiator support, so you'll only be out the cost of our lid, K&N filter, and breather if necessary.

white2001s10 - The inner diameter of the tube where the MAF sensor connects is exactly 3.5". The diameter of our opening at the base of the lid is approximately 5.25" compared to a competitor's lid at 4".

Mike - Yes, the IAT sensor is in the stock location. The lid we had pics of was our prototype, so it did not have an IAT hole drilled. The only other thing not pictured are the six small slits around the neck opening to give it ample clamping power to seal well onto the MAF sensor. We will have the carbon fiber ones very shortly, and we also hope to have the dyno results for everyone shortly.

I'll get back to you guys on the LS6 MAF provision.

trevor.. get some dyno numbers if you can. I have the direct flow also and was wondering if its flows any better. 4-5HP is still a nice pickup over any other lid if it does that. The design looks good and hopefully it works better

im just wondering how can you really test it on the dyno though since lids only really help once you get moving and sucking air!

3.5" equals 88.9mm so there shouldn't be a problem coupling to a 85mm MAF right?

By monster gopher swallower I mean that lid that BMR sells and a few others by Stealth. It's the lid that takes the ZR-1 filter. I never got it because of the price but your new lid might just be the ticket So what do you think? Does your lid rule all?? Please say yes

Will it clear the WS6 hood? My direct-flo would rub against the underside of it.

Are these plastic welded? If I remember right, the LG salesman said that theirs were plastic welded, unlike the one that I had. My MTI lid was glued and it was cracking all over the place

If it don't- no problem, I'll just throw the stock lower back on. If you can come up with a version for us SLP/Pace LS6 users!!! Looks like a well made lid, and the little comment about replacing it if it ever fails shows confidence in your product!
Well done-pip pip cherio ol chap! Or whatever they say!

Interested! My Direct-Flo has about had it! It's been hacked up for a TNT-install, and cracked from over-tightening. I'll prolly take a black one off your hands. It'll be cool to see the website up and running, Trevor.

I will definately be ordering one if it can be made with a larger opening for the 85 mm MAF.

I'll purchase one to replace my Direct-Flo, only if the lid is available with a 85 mm opening. And, I would expect a near perfect fit!
