Pics of the new Supersucker "track" lower airbox
We just received these from the manufacturer today. I pulled the SS out of storage and installed it. I crept out of the alley and headed for the highway. I opened her up and I could really feel a difference. It felt awesome . This is like a hoodscoop, only it's attached under the bumper. This is only for the track. DO NOT drive this on the street or you will crack it up w/in an hour. These are plastic welded like the new and improved Supersuckers. These will be sold seperately for those who already have the Supersucker, or you can buy both "street" and "track" lower boxes when you purchase a Supersucker as a complete new kit. They will also be sold as the "street" kit or the "track" kit. If you purchase the track kit, you can easily remove the lower CAI box for the street. Since the top CAI box is very similar to SLP's ,Whisper, or FTRA CAI you would still have the benefit of having CAI for daily driving

I LIKE IT AS A TRACK ONLY OPTION. IM READY TO BUY THE WHOLE DAMN THING! TXCAMSS HAS SOMETHING LIKE THAT BUT HE MADE IT HIMSELF FOR THE TRACK. YOU CANT ARGUE WITH 10.90`S AT 120`S AND STAGE2`S LITTLE OLE C1 AND 3:23`S. WHERE CAN I GET IT AND HOW MUCH WITH THE TRACK OPTION.

It's not the coolest looking thing, but hell you take it off when you leave the track. If it's good for a tenth or two then it will have served it's purpose. Looks like i'll be parting with some more money. How much for it?

Re: Pics of the new Supersucker "track" lower airbox
Were thinking normal retail for the track lower box would be $109. For either the street or track kit it would be the same at $219 that LM Performance and Speed Inc sell them for. For a kit that has both track and street lower boxes it would be about $299. I know some people think the Supersuckers are expensive but the cost to produce them is very high. I could see a GP for about $99 from one of the vendors for the track version of the lower box.

Thing looks
This thing is starting to look to much like a ricer mod. Kind of like the pulling the headlight out for ram air crap.
Makes the car look bad even just using it at the track.

I agree it's not the prettiest thing. However, it's meant only to work on the track. If it makes your car faster at the strip or road course then it's worth it.

Re: Pics of the new Supersucker "track" lower airbox
Yeah it may be good for a tenth or two at the track, but when you take it off and drive on the street your 2 tenths immediatly disapears again, so unless your a "race care driver" or racing for points or something I just don't see the point of it. I guess I want "real world" performance and not a pretty time slip.

Ricers get fart cannons
F-body's get big mouths?
Track only or not you wouldn't catch me with that thing on.
Maybe you should work on a ground effects package that would conceal it but still allow air to flow in?

That thing is ugly as hell. There is definately a point of diminishing returns with frontal area of a scoop, I wonder if they have passed it?

I just can't believe that they are charging $100 for a plastic scoop. Get real!
