a/c tensioner crooked??
a/c belt was screaming like crazy, took it off since it was 40 degrees out side anyway, bought a new one and put the new one on the other day and its doing the same thing...screaming. I got underneath it and the tensioner on the a/c compressor is tilted causing the belt to be shoved forward in turn its eating the edge of the belt...
--if i take my hand and push hard enough i can get the pulley to line up.
-- the bolt is tight on the tensioner
--all the pulleys spin freely and are noise free
Whats your guys' take on this???

Are you sure the main pulley is seated fully? Is tensioner still sitting crooked?
--the tensioner is sitting straight and looks to be lining up good now. And there seems to be plenty of tension on the belt.
--The crank pulley looks to be seated, but when i look at it from under the car and its running it looks like its not centered when it was bolted down, buddy did this part and said he had to shim it (stock crank pulley) for the oil pump...
now what do you think??
