Throttle Body??? inside
How much power is there to be gained and what options are out there? Inquiring minds want to know.
the stock 700cfm TB is not enough for a 400rwhp car let alone one pushing 500rwhp.
For example a 950cfm carb on a 580hp engine is worth 10-15hp over a 750cfm carb.
So a good 900cfm ported throttle body will get worth about that, and since the f-body also benefits from the throttle stop mod it could be a little more.
One like this flows 900cfm: <img src="http://www.lswon.com/upload/files/FB-Blue-1.jpg" alt=" - " />

<strong> Thanks for the reply Bret so the stocker is only good for about 700cfm? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Porting gets another 200cfm out of one <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Leaves alot to be desired from the stocker huh.
Did I read somewhere else that the opening in the intake is also a problem because it matches the opening size on the Throttle body? i think that I need more air to help my motor which is saying GIVE ME MORE <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah the intake opening is only a little over 75.5mm. So a ported stocker is the way to go.
