Throttle Body??? inside I need to know if anyone has dyno'd a larger CID (stroker) motor with a factory throttle body and with a larger aftermarket or ported one? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
How much power is there to be gained and what options are out there? Inquiring minds want to know.

the stock 700cfm TB is not enough for a 400rwhp car let alone one pushing 500rwhp.
For example a 950cfm carb on a 580hp engine is worth 10-15hp over a 750cfm carb.
So a good 900cfm ported throttle body will get worth about that, and since the f-body also benefits from the throttle stop mod it could be a little more.

So a ported stocker is the way to go.

Re: Throttle Body??? inside Whn the throttle body butterfly is in the full open position should it be completely "flat" or perpindicular with the bosy or slightly tilted downword? Bret?
