what plugs are best for my LS1? People on message boards seem to prefer NGK TR-55s , mechanics I know say no way...go with Bosch (or whatever comes factory).
I give up, whats the scoop.....is there really a difference?

Re: what plugs are best for my LS1? I've used stock, Bosche +4s, and NGK TR-55s. I could not notice any performance gain. The only thing I do know is the Bosche +4 yielded more misfires (stock cam) at idle than the others...
Re: what plugs are best for my LS1? I used to swear by only factory replacement plugs for all my cars in the past but I'm hearing that the NGK TR55s (TR6s for nitrous) really are the only plug to use in the LS1/LS6 so when the time comes I will.

Re: what plugs are best for my LS1? I put Bosch +4's in my car a couple of months ago and I love them. They are awesome, however they are a little pricey. I think they were about $50. I have had absolutely no problems with them and I could tell a difference after I put them in. I have noticed that not many other people use these. I don't really know why though. Everyone seems to like the NGK's, but I like the Bosch +4's much better. That's what I would go with if I were you.
Re: what plugs are best for my LS1? bosch 4's are not any better than bosch 2's. you can only get one spark from a plug therefore you don't need more than 1 electrode. more than one helps a little if 1 electrode has alot more resistance. bosch uses platnum which may last longer but don't conduct electricity as well as other metals. i like the ngks due to the fact that they are copper which means they dissapate heat faster and conduct better than other plugs. plus ngks are cheap and have been proven in many f-bodies and trucks to perform as good as or better than anything else.
