Trans tunnel brace
Trans tunnel brace Trans tunnel brace (the piece that runs parallel to the driveshaft) Do I need to keep this in there? What is the purpose of this thing? The reason I ask is because my TSP ory hits it sometimes, and I even had the exhaust adjusted.

Mine would have to get through the x-pipe before that happened. You can replace it with a driveshaft saftey loop of some sort. Lakewood make a very low profile one that is cheap and works great. Most tracks require you to have one anyway.

Ok, maybe we are talking about two different things. From what you guys are saying, the piece that I am talking about it the torue arm. I think I may have described the trans tunnel brace(the piece that is connected to the left and right side of the body, underneath of the trans). I guess the exhaust is bumping up against the torque arm, how do I go about fixing this?

Are you sure you know the difference between parallel and perpendicular ? I'm pretty sure you are still talking about the tunnel brace, I doubt you're exhaust is hitting the torque arm....
