My Pacesetter LT's finally arrived yesterday morning along with my Pacesetter ORY. I still have a couple of questions, how hard is this install with some friends? What will I need to do it ?

Here are some pics -

there are some of the easiest headers I've installed I swapped out all my plugs while the headers where off, since you can put them in with all the spark plugs in(I might have left the #8 plug out but I think I had it in to) I also swapped to poly motor mounts at the same time since access will never be better than with the exhaust off at I left the thru bolts a little loose and left the motor slightly raised with the jack and the headers would literally fall out onto the floor if somebody didn't hold them. I also have the pacesetter ORY and with my poly mounts I have good ground clearenc and it doesn't bang the floor.

I have a 99 SS M6 as well. I have SW LT's and they went in pretty easily on the drivers side and a little work on the passengers side. You need, or I did, to move the starter out of the way. You might need to cut off the block tab, maybe not, you'll see what I'm talking about when you push them up in there. Get your car the highest off the ground you safely can. They almost need to be vertical to push up in there. I used car ramps with 2x4' blocks on them to get it higher and then had jack stands for safety as well. Used a floor jack to lift the car and put the ramps underneath with the blocks. I have a 3 ton nice floor jack. You need at least 30" from ground to bottom of engine. They go in it just takes a little sweat and blood. You may or may not need to remove the coil packs to get at all the bolts on the passenger side easier I cant remember. I did headers and a cam at the same time.

Look in the exhaust sticky. There's a couple of writeups listed in there that should tell you everything you need to know.

if u can get a lift swapping out plugs is a breeze, i got the back three on both sides no problem. 10mm sockets, wrench, and all kinds of diff ratchets. Some bolts are slow turners so just take ur time. Oh and if ur blockin off egr or air don't be like me and realize only after u put the header on that u could have blocked it off with all the room in the world.
